Take advantage of the rest of Toronto's warm, summer weather with a picnic.
Torontonians are lucky enough to have plenty of beautiful picnicking spots, but there are some that stand out from the rest. Below are the best parks in Toronto for a picnic.
Christie Pits
Not only does Christie Pits have plenty of picturesque places to enjoy a picnic, but it's also conveniently located right across the street from the Christie Subway Station. It also happens to be just a few blocks away from our 940 Bloor Street West property, giving residents a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the summer weather. Have a lunch here in the afternoon while sitting on a blanket on the grassy slopes, or come in the evening for a picnic and a film.
Sunnybrook Park
One of Toronto's most beautiful parks, Sunnybrook Park is filled with trees, hiking trails and flowing rivers. It's also one of the best spots in the city for birdwatching and is listed as an Environmentally Significant Area. There are many places in Sunnybrook Park where you can spread out a blanket and have a picnic while enjoying the park's beauty. There are even outdoor BBQs if you feel like firing up a grill. If you live at our 6 Fairlawn Avenue, 390 - 400 Woodsworth Road or 8 Milepost Place buildings, then the park is just a short car ride away.
Bluffer's Park
Enjoy sandy beaches and stunning views when you have a picnic at Bluffer's Park, which is located along the coast of Lake Ontario in Cliffside. There are designated picnic areas throughout the park, or you can put down a blanket near the beach or in the grass. Afterwards, go for a swim in the lake or check out the views from one of the park's viewpoints. If you live at our 2570 Kingston Road property, then you're lucky enough to be just minutes away.
Riverdale Park East
Not only is Riverdale Park East known for being one of the best spots from which to see the sunset over the city, but it's also one of the best parks in Toronto for a picnic. Benches line the top of the hill where picnickers can sit and enjoy views of the city below. If you're picnicking with the kids, the park has a great outdoor playground and an outdoor pool. If you're a resident at 229 Carlton Street or 262 Jarvis Street, then Riverdale Park East is right in your neighbourhood.
